I have been in education for 35 years and this is my second year with Frenship ISD.  I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Baylor University in 1991 - sic ‘em bears!  My experience teaching in the classroom includes Kindergarten and first grade mostly in Texas but also a short time in Nashville, Tennessee.  I have also had the opportunity to work as an instructional coach and curriculum specialist supporting teachers as they help their students grow and learn.  My passion for teaching young students how to read eventually led me to become a Certified Academic Language Therapist and spend five years working with students who have Dyslexia.  In 2023 I obtained a Master of Education in Special Education with a Diagnostician certification from Lamar University.  This is my fourth year working as a Diagnostician and I feel so blessed to be a part of the Legacy family serving the students, teachers, and families. 

I love spending time with my husband and traveling to see my two grown children in Dallas and Waco.  We still have one baby at home to keep us busy…a 3 three year old miniature dachshund!
