Two Frenship ISD teachers will be attending the Lubbock Book Festival as participating authors this weekend, where they have the opportunity to connect with their readers and promote their work to festival attendees.

The Casey Administration staff went above and beyond decorating each individual department as a different experience for elementary school Special Education students. The students from across the district spent the day walking through each hallway enjoying treats.

During the week of October 23-27, campuses across Frenship ISD celebrated National Red Ribbon Week, a districtwide effort to promote drug prevention and awareness. While the students enjoyed fun dress up days, they also learned important lessons about the dangers of drugs and substance abuse.

On October 26, nearly 1,000 Frenship second grade students at all eight Frenship elementary schools participated in the sixth annual United We Read, an event aimed at promoting literacy and a love of reading at a young age.

This Saturday, October 21, Frenship is thinking PINK for the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk. The event will be hosted at Mae Simmons Lake starting at 8:00 a.m. Read more about how you can get involved.

Every year, the Frenship High School National Honor Society Chapter works together to coordinate a Halloween Trunk-or-Treat event. This year, the event will be held before the last home Football game on Friday, October 27, 2023.

Frenship ISD will open a ninth elementary school in August of 2024 and a second high school in August of 2025. These new schools will help accommodate the rapid growth in student enrollment that Frenship is seeing across the district.

Thanks to a local community partner, Frenship students will be able to safely view the solar eclipse happening this weekend. Code Ninjas donated more than 1,000 solar glasses to all Frenship fifth graders and the high school astronomy classes.

Every year, Legacy Elementary hosts a Family Reading Night in the fall to promote literacy and a love of reading both in school and at home.
