Last month, Frenship hosted the Start a Movement Student Council TESPA Workshop, where local elementary chapters came together to learn about being campus leaders.
As a part of the leadership teachings, the speaker told the student council members they are talented and capable. They supported this with a “Leaders Got Talent” mini contest where the teams took an hour to write a song and coordinate a performance at the workshop. The student song had to go along with the workshop theme about being leaders at their schools.
After the performances, Legacy Elementary Student Council was named second in “Leaders Got Talent” Their placement and song were highlighted in the TEPSA news blast the following week.
The Legacy team consisted of four 5th grade students, Morgan Cox, Morgan Roller, Kaesyn Conwright, and Marian Duncan, along with their two sponsors Anna Gary and Halston Balko.
Congratulations, Legacy Student Council!
Song (tune is to the Wellerman song) :
“Leaders all have self-control, they encourage and follow the rules.
It takes courage to stand up tall, have a voice to lead them all.
Practice specific skills like honesty and loyalty.
We listen to our fellow lads to help us reach our goals.”
